Silversmith

Gregory P. Segura, an award-winning native of Santa Fe and a master silversmith, began his journey into jewelry design two decades ago, mostly self-taught and continuously refining his skills. Influenced by the stunning landscapes of the Southwest and inspired by the master silversmiths of New Mexico's past, Segura's creations reflect his Spanish and Native American heritage. His jewelry spans from traditional to contemporary, each piece crafted meticulously by hand using the heaviest gauge sterling silver and 18K gold, adorned with precious gems and stones. Since founding Santa Fe Silverworks in 2008, Segura has garnered a loyal following for his dedication to quality and detail, earning accolades such as the E. Boyd Memorial Award for Originality and Expressive Design at Santa Fe's Traditional Spanish Market.

Segura's illustrious career has been marked by numerous accolades, including the prestigious First Place Blue Ribbon in Precious Metals at the Traditional Spanish Market for his exquisite pieces like the 75ct Ruby Sacred Heart Rosary. His work has also been featured in esteemed publications like Metalsmith Magazine and has caught the eye of renowned collectors and institutions, with pieces like the "Empress Isabel" necklace being acquired by the Albuquerque Museum for permanent collection. Segura's artistic prowess has earned him recognition as one of New Mexico's 12 Makers by New Mexico Magazine in 2021, solidifying his status as a luminary in the world of Native American artistry. Residing in Santa Fe with his partner Debra and their beloved pets, Segura's creations embody the essence of the region's rich cultural heritage, each piece a testament to the "Heart and Soul of Santa Fe."
